# CueScout > See whether AI answers name your brand, which pages they cite instead, and what to publish next. CueScout tracks AI visibility, finds buyer questions, and turns source evidence into specific To-dos. Choose the work and track what you complete. CueScout tracks whether AI answers name your brand. It asks your buying questions on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, and Google AI Mode, records whether each answer mentions you, cites your site, or recommends a competitor, and keeps the pages each answer cites. The gaps become evidence-backed To-dos, and later checks show whether the engines start mentioning and citing you (GEO). CueScout never posts anywhere; what you publish goes on a page you own. ## Key facts - Category: AI visibility / generative engine optimization (GEO): tracking whether AI answers name and cite your brand. - Answer surfaces checked: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, and Google AI Mode. Starter checks ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. Growth adds Gemini and Google AI Mode. Claude is a paid add-on. Grok is a separate paid pack for X conversations: a fixed 20 prompts checked weekly. CueScout does not measure Copilot and does not claim to. - Citation sources: records the URLs AI answers cite for each tracked prompt and ranks the domains behind them. - Competitors: share of voice against the competitors you track, per engine. - Buyer questions: prompts are suggested from your site and category and edited by you. Questions that repeat in public forums (Reddit, Hacker News, Quora) are one extra input, not the product. - Output: a visibility baseline (mentions and citations tracked separately), the cited-source list, share of voice, and evidence-backed To-dos. - Posting model: none. CueScout does not post, draft for posting, schedule, vote, or DM anywhere, and needs no social accounts. - Google Search Console: an optional, read-only connection that brings in the searches already reaching your site, so To-dos can be ranked against real search demand. - Google Analytics (GA4): an optional, read-only connection that shows what happened after publishing, including sessions and configured key events. - Slack app: an optional connection for sending high-confidence opportunities to a chosen approvals channel. A person still approves and publishes; incoming webhooks remain available for weekly updates. - Pricing: Starter is $49/month for 20 prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. Growth is $189/month for 100 prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, and Google AI Mode. On both, every prompt is checked every day, and the prompts are one pool split across brands (at least 10 per brand, so up to 2 brands on Starter and 10 on Growth). Annual billing is ten months' price for twelve ($490/year Starter, $1,890/year Growth). More than 100 prompts: email for a quote. Pricing last reviewed September 23, 2026. - Follow-up: after you publish, the same questions get re-checked so you can see whether AI engines started citing your page. - Ideal users: B2B SaaS teams, AEO/content consultants, and small agencies who want to know whether AI answers name them, which sources those answers cite, and what to publish next. ## Core pages - [Homepage](https://cuescout.com/): what CueScout does. - [Pricing](https://cuescout.com/pricing): the Starter and Growth plans, add-ons, and billing FAQ. - [Live demo](https://cuescout.com/demo): preview the workflow without signing up. - [Methodology](https://cuescout.com/methodology): the full measurement method in seven steps — prompt generation, which engines are queried, citation extraction, cited-page crawling, source classification, occupancy and winnability, and the score formula — followed by a published list of what the method cannot see. With the numbers from our own audits, including the ones that embarrassed us. - [I Put 63 Buying Questions to ChatGPT and G2 Was Cited Zero Times](https://cuescout.com/blog/does-chatgpt-cite-g2-capterra): The standard advice for AI visibility is to farm G2 and Capterra reviews. I collected 322 citations from 63 buying questions across 20 B2B categories in September 2026. G2 appeared zero times, Capterra once. A UK consumer-tech review site appeared 44 times. It is not a robots.txt problem, and the dataset is included. - [Grok Cited X Posts 24 Times Across 36 Questions, and Every One Came From the Same Kind of Question](https://cuescout.com/blog/what-grok-actually-cites): Everyone selling Grok optimisation says the same thing: Grok reads X, so post on X. We put 36 questions to Grok, ChatGPT and Perplexity, kept all 740 citations, and found Grok's X citations sit entirely inside one question shape. Buying questions got zero. Full dataset included. - [The 533 URLs AI Reads About One Category: A Citation Corpus Study](https://cuescout.com/blog/ai-citation-corpus-study): We pulled every source three AI engines cited across 50 buying questions in the AI-visibility category, classified all 533 URLs, then fetched the top 30 pages to see who was named on them. The public API is the route that works. - [Slack (Alerts and automation)](https://cuescout.com/integrations/slack): A formatted weekly message: the number, which way it moved, and who turned up where you are not. - [Discord (Alerts and automation)](https://cuescout.com/integrations/discord): A channel webhook and the plain JSON body, once a week. - [Zapier (Alerts and automation)](https://cuescout.com/integrations/zapier): Catch Hook, then map visibility_pct and delta into whatever you already run. - [Make (Alerts and automation)](https://cuescout.com/integrations/make): A custom webhook module, then whatever your scenario already does. - [n8n (Alerts and automation)](https://cuescout.com/integrations/n8n): A Webhook node, and the one place signature verification is worth actually doing. ## Full version - [llms-full.txt](https://cuescout.com/llms-full.txt): the same map with the measurement method, plan pricing, and every feature expanded inline — what each one does, how it works, and what it does not do. ## Contact - Support: support@cuescout.com --- # Expanded content Everything below is the body of the linked pages, inlined so an engine does not have to crawl them one by one. ## How the measurement works ### The pipeline, in seven steps 1. **Where the prompts come from.** A model reads the product name, description, keywords, and tracked competitors, then writes the buying questions a customer in that category would actually type. 2. **Asking the engines.** Each prompt goes to up to five answer surfaces, depending on the plan: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, and Google AI Mode. ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini are search-grounded models asked through an API, at temperature 0.2 with the answer capped at 700 tokens. Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode are read from Google's results page for a US English desktop search, so what we store is the AI answer Google showed for that query, or the fact that it showed none. CueScout names the surfaces openly and does not measure Copilot. 3. **Pulling the URLs out.** Cited URLs come from the structured citation annotations the engines return, plus a regex over the answer body as a fallback, with trailing punctuation trimmed and hosts normalised. 4. **Reading the cited pages.** Each cited page is fetched and read, because knowing an engine cites a listicle is half a finding and whether you appear in it is the other half. 5. **Classifying the page.** Eight types decided from host and path: community thread, listicle, comparison page, review site, documentation, competitor domain, your domain, or a plain article. Ownership wins over shape. 6. **Occupancy and winnability.** Occupancy answers "are you in it" per page — present, absent, unfavourable, or unknown. Winnability sorts the absences into what you could realistically take. 7. **The score.** Each datapoint is worth 0 if the brand was not mentioned, 40 if mentioned without a citation, and more when the engine cited your domain. ### What this method cannot see - It is not the real ChatGPT app. ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini are asked through an API: no account, no memory, no chat history, no personalization, no location. The two Google surfaces come from one signed-out US English desktop search, so a buyer in another country or on a phone may see a different AI answer, or none. What we measure is each surface's default behaviour on a cold question, which is a proxy. - Most judgements are deterministic string matching rather than model calls. That is deliberate: a deterministic check costs nothing per run and cannot invent a listing you are not on, or a competitor who was never on the page. - Pages we could not fetch stay marked unknown and are never counted as absence, because "we have not looked" and "you are not there" are different facts. CueScout runs this on itself and publishes the results, including the bad ones. In July 2026 the engines gave CueScout 0 mentions across 5 category prompts and 0 citations across 22 cited URLs. ## MCP server CueScout publishes an MCP server so an agent can run the free checks directly, without a browser. No account and no API key: every tool wraps an endpoint that already runs unauthenticated for the free tool pages. Install by adding this to any MCP client config: ```json { "mcpServers": { "cuescout": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "@cuescout/mcp"] } } } ``` ### Tools - `check_ai_visibility` — Does an AI engine name my brand when a buyer asks? Puts one buying question to a search-grounded engine and reports whether your brand was named, whether your domain was cited, which competitors came up instead, and every page the answer was assembled from. Arguments: brand, question, domain?, competitors[]?, engine?. Endpoint: POST /public/geo-check. Runs a real engine query. - `check_ai_readiness` — Can the engines read my site at all? Eight deterministic checks: crawler access, llms.txt, Organization and FAQ schema, canonical and meta tags, server-rendered copy, and whether an about and a pricing page exist. Arguments: url. Endpoint: POST /public/ai-readiness. HTTP fetch only, no AI spend. - `check_ai_crawler_access` — Am I blocking the bots I need? Reads robots.txt and reports whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot or Google-Extended are blocked — including by a blanket rule nobody wrote deliberately. Arguments: url. Endpoint: POST /public/ai-crawler-check. HTTP fetch only, no AI spend. - `validate_structured_data` — Is my JSON-LD actually valid? Reads the structured data on one page: which types it declares, which blocks fail to parse, and whether the sameAs links that tie a name to a known entity are filled in. Arguments: url. Endpoint: POST /public/structured-data. HTTP fetch only, no AI spend. - `check_sitemap` — Would a crawler get a usable page list? Checks whether the sitemap is reachable, parseable, declared in robots.txt, and free of cross-host entries a crawler discards. Arguments: url. Endpoint: POST /public/sitemap-check. HTTP fetch only, no AI spend. ### Limits - Two engines only: Perplexity and OpenAI, through their search-grounded APIs. Not Google AI Overviews, Gemini, or Copilot. - Cold API calls, not the consumer chat apps — no account, memory, history, personalization, or location. - One question is one datapoint. A brand can be absent on one phrasing and present on the next. - Read-only. The server writes nothing anywhere, and there is no account to connect. - Rate-limited per network; the engine query also sits behind a shared daily spend cap. ## Pricing in detail ### Starter — $49/month 20 prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, for one brand or two brands with 10 each. It sits outside the answer-surface coverage: it does not multiply with buyer questions or check cadence. Grok cites posts on X mostly when a question asks what people say, so those are the questions where X shows up. Pricing last reviewed September 23, 2026. ## Connected data and approval integrations ### Google Search Console Optional and read-only. CueScout reads the searches already reaching the selected site property and the pages associated with them, then uses that demand to rank To-dos. It cannot change the property or its Search Console settings. ### Google Analytics (GA4) Optional and read-only. CueScout reads the selected GA4 property after a page goes live, so the outcome view can report sessions and configured key events over a stated window. It cannot change the property, events, reports, or settings. ### Slack approvals Optional Slack app connection. Choose a workspace channel and CueScout brings high-confidence opportunities there for human approval. It prepares the work; a person still decides what ships and publishes through their own CMS. Incoming webhooks remain available as an advanced option for weekly updates. ## Features in detail ### AI visibility tracking URL: https://cuescout.com/features/ai-visibility-tracking Category: Measure Availability: Starter checks ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews for 20 prompts. Growth checks all five surfaces for 100. Claude is a paid add-on, and the Grok pack asks Grok 20 questions you pick each week. CueScout is an AI visibility tracker. Every day it puts the buying questions your customers ask to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, and Google AI Mode, then records whether each answer named you, linked to you, or recommended someone else. You get a share of AI voice against your competitors, and every question stays one click away from the full answer. - 5: AI answer surfaces on Growth, 3 on Starter - Daily: every prompt, on each engine your plan covers - 80 / 40: points for a citation against a bare mention - 100: prompts on Growth, shared across brands **What it records** - **Your share, drawn against each rival.** The top of the dashboard: share of voice, mention rate, cited rate and average position, each with its change since the last window. Under them, your line runs week by week next to every competitor you track. - **A link is worth double a mention.** One question on one engine is one datapoint. The score is their average, capped at 100. - **Which prompts moved, and how far.** Trends compares the last 7 days with the weeks that ended 7, 14, 30 and 90 days ago, and lists every prompt that moved 10 points or more. Under that list sits a weekly heatmap of each prompt, for mentions or for citations. - **What the engine actually said about you.** Every check keeps the full answer, its sentiment and the pages it read. An answer that names you unkindly is a different problem from one that leaves you out. **How it works** - **Start from your buying questions.** CueScout reads your site and suggests the questions a buyer would ask an assistant. You keep the good ones, paste your own, and pause any you stop caring about. - **Ask each engine on your plan, daily.** Starter checks ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. Growth adds Gemini and Google AI Mode. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini are asked through their search-grounded APIs. The two Google surfaces are read from Google's own results page. - **Score only what could have cited you.** An engine answering from memory cannot link anyone, so those answers count toward the mention rate and are left out of the citation rate. Otherwise one ungrounded engine would halve your citation rate overnight. - **Watch it move.** Rates, rank and share of voice are compared with the previous window. On Growth, a webhook can post changes to [Slack](/integrations/slack), [Discord](/integrations/discord), [Zapier](/integrations/zapier), [Make](/integrations/make) or [n8n](/integrations/n8n), so nobody has to open the dashboard to notice. **What it does not do** - Answers vary from run to run. One check is weak evidence, which is why every prompt runs daily and the numbers are meant to be read as a trend. - We ask the engines through their APIs. That is close to what a logged-in person sees in the chat app, but not identical, especially with memory and personalisation on. - A score going up does not prove your work caused it. It proves the answers changed. - We do not report how many people ask a question. No public source measures assistant query volume, and a made-up number would be worse than none. --- ### AI Overview tracker URL: https://cuescout.com/features/ai-overview-tracker Category: Measure Availability: AI Overviews are included on Starter (20 prompts) and Growth (100). AI Mode is Growth only. CueScout tracks Google AI Overviews and AI Mode for the buying questions you choose. Every day it reads Google's results page and records whether an AI Overview appeared, whether it named or linked your brand, and which pages it drew from. The same questions go to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, so Google sits in one table with the other engines. - 2: Google surfaces: AI Overviews on every plan, AI Mode on Growth - Daily: read from Google's live results page - 20: prompts on Starter, AI Overviews included - 36%: of AI Overview citations sat in the Google top 10 (SE Ranking, Dec 2025) **What it records** - **Four outcomes for every question.** Google does not show an AI Overview on every search. A question where none appeared is counted in a separate AI Overview rate, not scored as a miss against you. - **The pages the AI Overview cited.** Every link in the Overview is stored with the question it answered. Open one to see whether you're on that page, what type of page it is, and where it ranks in Google for the same question. - **Google next to the other engines.** One prompt across engines, with how long each verdict has held. Google often cites different pages from ChatGPT for the same question, which is the reason to track both. **How it works** - **Add the questions buyers search.** Paste your own or keep the ones CueScout suggests from your site. Commercial questions ("best X for Y", "X vs Y") are the ones where an AI Overview picks vendors. - **Read Google's results page daily.** For each question we fetch the live results page, including the AI Overview block and, on Growth, AI Mode. - **Record what the Overview did.** Whether one appeared, whether it named you or linked you, the brands it named, and every source it cited. - **Compare with the blue links.** The same question's organic rank is looked up for each cited page by the [rank overlap](/features/rank-overlap) check, so you can see how often the AI Overview cites pages that don't rank at all. **What it does not do** - Google decides per search whether to show an AI Overview, and that changes from day to day. A question that had one yesterday may not have one today. - What you see logged in, in your own city, can differ from the results page we read. - Search Console does not split AI Overview clicks from ordinary clicks, so this tracks whether you appear, not how much traffic it sent. - AI Mode is on Growth only. Starter tracks AI Overviews. --- ### AI rank tracker URL: https://cuescout.com/features/ai-rank-tracker Category: Measure Availability: Starter tracks 20 prompts and Growth 100, shared across your brands and checked daily. More is a quote by email. CueScout is an AI rank tracker for the prompts your buyers type. For each prompt it records your position in the answer, how often you were mentioned and cited over the window you pick, what changed since the last sweep, and who the engine recommended instead. Branded prompts stay out of the totals until you add them back. - 100: prompts on Growth, 20 on Starter, each checked daily - 4: windows: 28 days, 12 weeks, 6 months, 12 months - 6% vs 0.7%: our own branded vs unbranded mention rate, August 2026 - CSV: export of the table with your filters applied **What it records** - **Which prompts moved.** Trends lists every prompt that moved 10 points or more against 7, 14, 30 and 90 days ago. Headline rates count unbranded prompts only, because a question with your name in it gets your name back most of the time. - **Every prompt gets a label.** Filed by rules, no model involved. You can override any label by hand. - **A page for every prompt.** Each engine gets a card with its current verdict and how long it has held, then a cell per sweep. Stable wins and flickers look different at a glance. - **Every run, next to the one before.** Open a run to read the full answer beside the previous one, the pages the engine read, and the rivals it named instead of you. **How it works** - **Build the prompt list.** CueScout suggests prompts from your site and competitors. Paste your own on top; the ones you heard on a sales call are usually the best. Prompts can be tagged and paused without losing their history. - **First check straight away.** A new prompt is checked once the moment you add it, so its row is never blank. That first answer shows on the row but stays out of the rates, which count scheduled sweeps only. - **Daily sweeps after that.** Every prompt runs on each engine your plan covers, every day. If the same prompt ran twice in a day, the later answer counts. - **See what moved.** Each row carries a gained, lost, held or new badge per engine. The Changes view compares any two sweep dates and lists every prompt whose verdict moved, with both answers. **What it does not do** - We do not report how many people ask a prompt. No public source measures assistant query volume. - We see the answer and the sources it returned, not the searches the engine ran behind the scenes to build it. - Sentiment is a label (positive, neutral or negative). Two answers marked positive are not equally warm. - Prompt text cannot be edited. Answers are stored against the wording, so a reworded prompt starts fresh and the old one is paused with its history kept. --- ### AI share of voice URL: https://cuescout.com/features/ai-share-of-voice Category: Measure Availability: Included on Starter (up to 2 brands) and Growth (up to 10). Every brand carries its own competitor list. AI share of voice is the share of AI answers that name your brand. CueScout counts it across every tracked question and engine and ranks you against each competitor you track. In the demo workspace, Saucony is named in 227 of 402 answers and Nike in 268. Rank, citation rate and average position sit underneath, each compared with the previous window. - 5: numbers per brand: rank, visibility, cited, position, score - 4: windows to compare, from 28 days to 12 months - 10: brands on Growth, each with its own rivals - Daily: new answers counted for every rival **What it records** - **Every brand on the same answers.** Switch the chart to mention rate or cited rate and each tracked rival keeps its own line, counted on exactly the answers yours were. The leader's gap is written out under the legend. - **Three numbers you can compare.** Every brand is measured on the same answers, so the gaps are real. - **Who the engine picked when it skipped you.** Each question shows the brands named in your place. When one rival keeps appearing on the questions you miss, start there. - **Share of voice as a line, not a snapshot.** Share of voice week by week for you and every rival, so a competitor pulling ahead shows up long before a quarterly report would catch it. **How it works** - **Add your competitors.** Competitors are websites, added in Settings. CueScout suggests likely ones from your category when you start. - **Ask the same questions for everyone.** Every tracked question goes to each engine on your plan daily. Rivals are measured on exactly the answers you are. - **Count who was named.** For each answer we record every tracked brand it named and whether it linked them. Share of voice is named answers divided by all answers in the window. - **Rank and compare.** Brands are ranked by share, with visibility, citation rate, average position and score beside each, and every number compared with the previous window. **What it does not do** - Share is measured on your tracked questions only. A narrow question list gives a narrow picture. - Brands are read out of the answer text, so an answer that describes a category without naming vendors counts for nobody. - A rival leading here is leading on those answers, on those days. It is not a market-share figure. --- ### AI citation tracking URL: https://cuescout.com/features/ai-citation-tracking Category: Diagnose Availability: Included on every plan. The number of prompts you track decides how many questions feed the list. AI citation tracking means recording every page an AI answer cites. CueScout stores each URL that ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI list for your buying questions, checks whether your brand appears on it, and sorts the pages by what you can do about them: improve your own page, answer the question on your site, get onto a roundup, or leave it. - 6: verdicts, from "write this" to "you already hold it" - 8: page types, from Reddit threads to G2 listings - 0: extra AI calls: it reads the checks you already run - 10 of 22: Perplexity citations in our own category were Reddit threads (July 2026) **What it records** - **Every cited page gets a next step.** The list sorts by verdict, so the pages you can win sit at the top. - **Which engine cited it, and for which questions.** Every page carries the engines that cited it, the questions it was cited for, your coverage across tracked questions, and the domains cited alongside it. A handful of domains usually supply most of a category. - **Add to To-do carries the evidence along.** Turn a cited page into a To-do and it arrives with the page, the verdict, the questions and the steps, ready to hand to a writer. - **The domains that decide your category.** The same citations rolled up by site: how many of your questions each domain decides, who owns it, and whether you are on it. **How it works** - **Collect every cited URL.** Search-grounded engines return the sources they used next to the answer. We store that list per question, per engine, per run, from the structured data the API returns rather than links scraped out of the text. - **Read each page.** We fetch the page and look for your brand: present, absent, or unread. A page we could not read is never counted as absent, because "not checked" and "not there" call for different work. - **Classify and judge.** Each page gets a type from its URL and a verdict from its type, your presence and whether it is yours. Your own cited pages count as wins. - **Roll up by domain.** The same rows show which hosts supply the most citations in your category, so you can see that five sites write half your answers instead of scrolling forty URLs. **What it does not do** - We can tell you a page was cited. We cannot tell you which sentence in it earned the citation. - Page type comes from the URL, so a blog hosted on a review site's subdomain can land in the wrong group. - Pages behind a login or a hard bot wall stay unread, which on some review sites is permanent. - A citation is not a click. This measures whether the answer used you, not traffic. - It only covers questions you track. A buying question nobody added is invisible to it. - It says nothing about your own site. Whether the engines can read you at all is the [GEO audit](/features/geo-audit). --- ### Rank overlap URL: https://cuescout.com/features/rank-overlap Category: Diagnose Availability: Included on every plan, for every cited page. Rank overlap compares AI citations with Google rankings. For every page an AI engine cited, CueScout looks up where that page ranks in Google for the same question. In the account where we first ran it, 58 of 96 cited pages had no position in the top 100, so the rank tracker was watching a different contest from the one deciding the AI answer. - 58 of 96: cited pages outside Google's top 100 in one account, August 2026 - 100: results deep before a page counts as unranked - 7 days: between rank lookups for the same question - 74%: of AI Overview citations were somewhere in the top 100 (SE Ranking, Dec 2025) **What it records** - **Where the cited page sits in Google.** The rank is looked up for the exact question the page was cited for, not for the page in general. - **Rank next to every other fact about the page.** The rank sits beside the verdict, the page type, the engines that cited it and whether you're on it, so an unranked page with a Get listed verdict reads as the opportunity it is. The verdicts come from [tracking every cited page](/features/ai-citation-tracking). - **Ranking is neither necessary nor sufficient.** About three quarters of cited pages in the SE Ranking study ranked somewhere, which is not nothing. But a large share of what gets cited is pages you would never have found in a keyword report, and those are often the easiest to get onto. **How it works** - **Pair each page with its question.** The same page can be cited for several questions and rank differently for each, so the lookup runs on the pair. One search covers every page cited for that question. - **Search a hundred results deep.** Past a hundred, "does not rank" and "ranks at 140" are the same fact to a buyer. A page with no position is a finding, not a gap in the data. - **Treat forum results honestly.** Reddit and Stack Exchange threads often appear only in a separate discussions block, not in the ranked list. Those are flagged as such rather than reported as unranked. - **Refresh weekly.** Organic results move slowly, so a position is reused for seven days. A failed lookup waits a day before it is tried again. **What it does not do** - 58 of 96 is one account's number. It is the strongest figure we can publish and we will not dress it up as a benchmark. - Rank comes from one search provider, in one locale, at one moment. Personalised and local results will differ. - A page ranking nowhere and being cited anyway does not tell you why it was cited. It tells you ranking was not the reason. --- ### GEO audit URL: https://cuescout.com/features/geo-audit Category: Diagnose Availability: Included on every plan. The eight site checks are also free, with no signup, in the AI Readiness Checker. A GEO audit checks whether AI engines can crawl, read and quote your site. CueScout's runs eight checks on the site, from AI crawler access in robots.txt to llms.txt, Organization schema and text that loads without JavaScript, plus five on each article. Every verdict shows what we fetched and a fix you can send to your To-dos. - 8: site checks, from crawler access to a public pricing page - 5: page checks on each article, from schema to answer-first - 4: verdicts: pass, worth fixing, fails, and unknown - Free: readiness checker with the same eight site checks **What it records** - **Can an engine reach and read you.** Run on your homepage and the pages an assistant looks for. Free fixes: the [llms.txt generator](/tools/llms-txt-generator), the [schema markup generator](/tools/schema-markup-generator) and the [robots.txt generator](/tools/robots-txt-generator). - **Every verdict shows what we found.** Open a failing check and you get the reason it matters, the fix, and the exact markup or rule we fetched. Add to To-do sends it to the queue with all of that attached. - **Is each article easy to quote.** Five checks per article: something an engine can lift word for word, Article schema with a real author and dates, a recent date, an answer before the first subheading, and at least one internal link pointing at it. **How it works** - **Fetch what the engines fetch.** robots.txt, llms.txt, your homepage and key pages, as a crawler would get them, before any JavaScript runs. The [AI crawler checker](/tools/ai-crawler-checker) runs the robots.txt part on its own, and the [structured data validator](/tools/structured-data-validator) checks the schema you already publish. - **Run deterministic checks.** No model decides anything here. Each check is a rule over the bytes we fetched, so the same site gives the same verdict every time. - **Keep the evidence.** Every stored verdict carries the lines it was based on, so you can see exactly why something failed. - **Re-check after you fix it.** Mark a To-do done and supported checks can be run again on the same page to confirm the fix landed. **What it does not do** - Passing every check does not get you cited. It gets you readable, which is the precondition, not the goal. - It is not a full SEO crawl. Title lengths, alt text and page speed are left to the SEO tools that already do them well. - Organization sameAs needs real third-party profiles. No code change fixes it. - Sites that block automated fetches return unknown rather than a verdict. --- ### To-dos URL: https://cuescout.com/features/todos Category: Act Availability: Included on every plan, with no separate task quota. To-dos turn what CueScout found into specific work: fix this page, answer this question on your site, get listed on that roundup. Each To-do names the page it is about, the steps, why it matters and the evidence behind it, drawn from your site audit, the pages AI answers cite, buyer questions and Search Console when it is connected. - 4: states: Suggested, To-do, Done, Dismissed - 4: sources: site audit, cited pages, demand, Search Console - 1 click: from any cited page or failing check **What it records** - **What to do, and why.** Steps you tick off, the evidence with the date it was observed, and a recheck that confirms the fix landed. Copy brief puts the lot on your clipboard. - **Your decisions stick.** Refreshing the sources updates the evidence without reopening work you finished or dismissed. - **Finishing a task and getting cited are kept apart.** You mark work done, with an optional note and the URL you shipped. Audit tasks can be rechecked on the same page. Whether the AI answers change is measured separately, on the next sweeps, where it belongs. **How it works** - **Collect the findings.** Failing audit checks, cited pages you could win, buyer questions you have no page for, and Search Console queries with impressions but few clicks. - **Turn each into one task.** A task names one page or one question and one change. Unknown measurements stay unknown instead of being guessed. - **You choose the work.** Accept a suggestion into To-do, dismiss it, or add one straight from Sources or Site audit. - **Check again.** Mark it done, recheck supported audit tasks, and watch the answers on the next sweeps. **What it does not do** - Content and listing work needs a person. Nothing here guarantees a citation. - Search Console tasks need a connected property with enough data to say anything. - CueScout does not publish. You make the changes in your own CMS and tools. --- ### AI visibility audit URL: https://cuescout.com/features/ai-visibility-audit Category: Act Availability: Included on every plan: one report per brand you track. Type your website and we ask an AI engine three questions your buyers ask. You see whether its answers named you or linked to you, and the sites and pages they were built from. The free check needs no signup. On a paid plan the full audit runs daily on the engines your plan covers and becomes a report you can share. - 1: report per brand, rebuilt from your latest data - 30 days: before a share link expires; revoke any link sooner - PDF: through your browser's print dialog - PNG: of the first screen, to paste into an email **What it records** - **Read top to bottom by someone new.** Written so a person who has never opened CueScout can follow it. - **Each buyer question, engine by engine.** One row per buyer question, with the brand each engine named first and whether you were in the answer at all. - **The answer word for word, and its sources.** One answer quoted in full, then the pages it was built from, whether you are on them, and where they rank in Google. - **A link that needs no account, and a copy that stays put.** A share link is a frozen copy of the report at the moment you made it, so the numbers you sent are the numbers they read. **How it works** - **Track the brand.** The report reads the same questions, answers and cited pages as the dashboard, so it needs a few days of checks to say much. - **Open the report.** One page per brand, outside the dashboard chrome and clean enough to print. - **Share it.** Make a link and send it. The recipient needs no account. Copy the first-screen image into the email so the numbers are read before anyone clicks. - **Send it again later.** A new link captures the report as it stands then, which makes the before and after easy to show. **What it does not do** - The free check asks one engine three questions. Treat it as a first look, not a baseline. - Anyone with a share link can open the report. Treat it as unlisted, not private. - A brand checked for a day has a thin report, and a thin report is worse than none. Give it a week. - Reports are branded CueScout. There is no white-label version. --- ### Multi-brand workspace URL: https://cuescout.com/features/agency-workspace Category: Act Availability: Starter covers up to 2 brands and 20 prompts. Growth covers up to 10 brands and 100 prompts. More is a quote by email. Agencies and multi-brand teams can track up to 10 brands in one CueScout account on Growth, or 2 on Starter. Each brand gets its own prompts, competitors, cited pages, To-dos and report, while the prompt allowance is shared across them, so a busy client can use more of it than a quiet one. Switch brands from the header without logging out. - 10: brands on Growth - 2: brands on Starter - 100: prompts on Growth, shared across brands - 10: prompts reserved for each brand at minimum **What it records** - **Nothing leaks between brands.** A competitor tracked for one brand never appears in another's ranking, and each brand's To-dos come only from its own questions and pages. - **Everything is scoped to one brand.** Switching brands switches every screen. - **A report per brand you can send.** Each brand has its own report and share links, openable without an account. For an agency that is the monthly deliverable; for an in-house team it is the update to the people who never log in. **How it works** - **Add a brand.** From the brand switcher. Hitting your plan's cap shows your own numbers and the next step instead of an error. - **Give it prompts and rivals.** Each brand needs at least 10 prompts from the shared allowance. The rest can be spread however the work needs. - **Let the checks run.** Every brand is checked daily on the engines your plan covers. - **Report per brand.** Open each brand's report and share it with whoever needs it. To read the same data from an AI client instead, see the [MCP server page](/mcp). **What it does not do** - No white-labelling. Reports are branded CueScout. - Brands share one prompt allowance. A brand with many prompts leaves fewer for the rest. - More than 10 brands, or more than 100 prompts, is a quote by email.
