Presence
Four outcomes for every question
Google does not show an AI Overview on every search. A question where none appeared is counted in a separate AI Overview rate, not scored as a miss against you.

The pages the AI Overview cited
Every link in the Overview is stored with the question it answered. Open one to see whether you're on that page, what type of page it is, and where it ranks in Google for the same question.

How it works
AI Overviews are included on Starter (20 prompts) and Growth (100). AI Mode is Growth only.

Compare with the blue links
The same question's organic rank is looked up for each cited page by the rank overlap check, so you can see how often the AI Overview cites pages that don't rank at all.

What it doesn’t do
- Google decides per search whether to show an AI Overview, and that changes from day to day. A question that had one yesterday may not have one today.
- What you see logged in, in your own city, can differ from the results page we read.
- Search Console does not split AI Overview clicks from ordinary clicks, so this tracks whether you appear, not how much traffic it sent.
- AI Mode is on Growth only. Starter tracks AI Overviews.

What is an AI Overview tracker?
A tool that checks, on a schedule, whether Google shows an AI Overview for your chosen searches, and whether that Overview names or links your brand. CueScout also stores the pages the Overview cited.
How do you check Google AI Overviews?
We read Google's live results page for each tracked question, the same page a searcher sees, and parse the AI Overview block and its sources.
Does it track Google AI Mode too?
Yes, on Growth. AI Mode is read the same way and shows as its own column next to AI Overviews.
What happens when Google shows no AI Overview?
That question is left out of your share of voice for that day and counted in a separate AI Overview rate, so a quiet day for Google does not look like a loss for you.
Do AI Overviews cite the pages that rank first?
Often not. SE Ranking found 36% of AI Overview citations in the Google top 10 across 465,823 citations in December 2025. Our own rank overlap check measures it for your questions.
