Gauge review: what it costs and who it is for

Gauge measures more than anything else we looked at. Six hundred tracked prompts running daily across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot adds up to roughly 108,000 answers a month, and at that sample size a movement in your share of voice means something.

The pricing page shows two plans: Growth at $599/mo and Enterprise on request. Several third-party reviews mention a $99 individual tier, which we could not find on the official page on 6 August 2026 — if that matters to you, ask before you assume.

What Gauge is

High-volume tracking with content generation
Pricing:
$599/mo (Growth)
Best for:
Teams that want daily volume and drafts included

Runs 600 prompts a day across six platforms — about 108,000 answers a month — and turns the gaps into publish-ready articles.

Pros

  • Volume nothing else on this list matches at any price: 600 prompts daily, roughly 108,000 answers a month
  • Eighteen publish-ready articles a month are included rather than an add-on
  • Ten seats, unlimited domains and competitors, and a free trial that runs a week of real data first

Cons

  • The published self-serve floor is $599/mo — there is no small plan on the pricing page
  • Claude and Grok are Enterprise-only
  • Some third-party reviews cite a $99 individual tier that the official pricing page does not show

Verdict

Serious measurement, priced accordingly

At $599/mo Gauge is not competing with the $29 monitors, and the volume justifies it if you are the kind of team that will act on a two-point move in share of voice. Ten seats and unlimited competitor tracking make it workable for an agency too.

The included articles are the part we would use carefully. Eighteen generated pages a month is a lot of published surface area, and generated pages aimed at generated gaps are not what we see earning citations. Use the measurement, be selective about the drafts.

Buy Gauge if

  • Sample size is the thing you are missing
  • Six platforms tracked daily is a reporting requirement
  • Ten seats and unlimited competitors fit how your team works

Look elsewhere if

  • $599/mo is the whole marketing tools budget
  • You need Claude or Grok without an Enterprise contract
  • You will not publish eighteen articles a month, so you are paying for output you discard

Where CueScout is the wrong choice

  • Fewer engines checked than the dedicated trackers — we would rather name a short list we have validated than a long one we have not.
  • No SSO, no SAML, no procurement paperwork. If your security review needs those, buy one of the enterprise platforms.
  • No white-label client reporting suite. Agencies can run multiple products, but the deliverable is our interface, not yours.

Priced for small teams, and honest about why

CueScout starts at $49/mo against a category average around $337/mo (Rankability survey, January 2026). Part of that gap is scope: fewer engines checked, no enterprise seats, no agency reporting suite. If those are what you need, the bigger platforms earn their price and we would rather say so here than after you have paid.

The action layer is included

A report saying you were absent from most answers is a starting point. CueScout clusters the buyer questions behind the citations, across Reddit, Hacker News and Quora, and turns the recurring ones into a dated writing plan with the source thread attached to each item. The week after the audit has actual work in it.
