The best AI search visibility tool for most in-house B2B and SaaS marketing teams in 2026 is CueScout. There are two sides to where AI answers come from: the pages the engines cite, and the community threads on Reddit, Quora and Hacker News where buyers ask each other which tool to use. CueScout watches both. It records every URL that ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews cite for your buyers' questions, scans those three communities for the questions people ask in your category, and turns what it finds into To-dos, from $29 a month. Among the other eleven, ZipTie sells UGC analysis as a paid add-on (+80%), and none of the other pricing pages we read list a Reddit, Quora or Hacker News question scan on the entry plan.
We make CueScout, and the other eleven were compared from their public pricing and product pages on 29 September 2026, not tested hands-on.
Hall shows up on some other lists. Its pricing page returned a 404 and a waitlist when we checked, so it isn't here.

How we compared these GEO and AEO tools
Everyone selling in this category claims to "track your AI visibility", so the claim tells you nothing. These are the seven things that actually separate the tools once you read the pricing pages side by side:
- Engine coverage on the plan you'd buy, and specifically whether Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode are included. If your buyers start in Google, a tool with no Google surface misses the AI answers they actually read.
- Prompts per dollar. A prompt is one question you track. Twenty prompts is enough to watch your core category. Two hundred lets you track every use case, competitor comparison and pricing question.
- Citation and source data. Knowing you were named in 4 of 10 answers is a score. Knowing which URLs the engine read to write those answers is what you can act on, because those pages are where the answer comes from.
- Community coverage. Buyers ask on Reddit, Quora and Hacker News which tool to pick, and those threads are the other side of where AI answers come from. We checked whether each entry plan lists a scan of them.
- Whether it tells you what to do. Some tools stop at charts. Others turn the data into tasks. Your team's time is usually the scarcer resource, so this counted for a lot in our ranking.
- How often prompts are checked. Daily, weekly, or whenever your credits allow. AI answers move enough from day to day that weekly data can miss a change for six days.
- Pricing transparency. Can you see the price, and can you predict the bill? Credit systems and per-check overages take arithmetic, and "contact sales" takes a meeting.
1. CueScout

Best for: in-house marketing teams at B2B and SaaS companies who want to know what to work on next, and who would rather read a short list of tasks than interpret a dashboard every Monday.
Cited sources, turned into To-dos
Every check stores the URLs each engine cited, so the Sources report shows the pages your category's answers are built from, including the ones that leave you out. Those sources feed the To-dos, and each To-do names the answer and the source behind it. To-dos are unlimited on every plan.
The one people notice first is the listing ask. When a "best tools" list keeps getting cited for your questions and you aren't on it, CueScout turns that domain into a single task to ask the site to add you, with the prompts and engines attached as evidence.
The questions buyers ask on Reddit, Quora and Hacker News
CueScout builds searches from your keywords and your competitors, then scans public Reddit, Quora and Hacker News threads for the questions buyers ask in your category. It runs weekly on Starter and every three days on Growth. It reads public threads and nothing else: it doesn't post, and it doesn't connect to your accounts on any of those sites. The questions it finds sit next to the cited sources, so the To-do list covers what the engines cite and what buyers are asking in one place.
Share of community conversation
Take every brand mentioned in those Reddit, Quora and Hacker News threads, yours and your competitors'. Share of community conversation is the part that names you. CueScout reports it separately from AI share of voice, so you can see where you stand in the AI answers and where you stand in the threads buyers read, and whether the two move together. Visibility and share of voice are shown next to your competitors on every plan.
A site audit for the AI crawlers
The site audit checks whether the engines can read and quote your site: crawler access for GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot, schema, and llms.txt. Starter audits 50 pages and Growth audits 200, and the audit reruns weekly. CueScout also pulls Google Search Console daily, and both feed the To-dos.
Google on the $29 plan, and no sales call
Google AI Overviews is on Starter, and Growth adds Gemini and Google AI Mode. You sign up, add your brand and see the first check without talking to anyone.
Reports you can forward
You can freeze a report into a share link that your CEO can open without an account. Each link is a snapshot, it expires, and you can revoke one without killing the others. A progress email arrives every week, prompts export to CSV, and Growth adds Slack and webhook alerts.
Watch-outs: Starter covers three engines, so Gemini and Google AI Mode need Growth. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini are read through their APIs, and answers there can differ slightly from what you see signed in to your own account.
Pricing: Starter is $29 a month or $290 a year, for 20 prompts checked daily, split across up to 2 brands, on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Growth is $189 a month or $1,890 a year, for 100 prompts across up to 10 brands on those three plus Gemini and Google AI Mode. Claude adds $19 a month on Starter and $99 on Growth. The Grok pack is $19 a month on either plan, for 20 prompts you pick, checked weekly. Past 100 prompts you email for a price and get a checkout link back.
2. Profound

Best for: larger companies that want AI search run as an enterprise program, with an account team, procurement and security review. Profound describes its buyer as companies operationalizing AI search insights and running marketing agents at scale.
Watch-outs: there's no self-serve plan. Every paid tier goes through a demo and the price isn't published, so you can't compare Profound with anything until you're in a sales conversation. The 7-day trial runs 50 prompts that you can't customise, on three engines, which means you judge it on Profound's questions rather than the ones your buyers ask. A Reddit, Quora or Hacker News question scan isn't listed on the pricing page we read. For a two-person marketing team, the buying process alone may rule it out.
What it does well: the enterprise engine list is broad, up to 9: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, AI Overviews and Exa. Exa is one you won't see on anyone else's list here. Fifty daily prompts is also a decent free sample.
Pricing: Enterprise, custom. Demo only.
3. Peec AI

Best for: SEO and content managers getting started with AI search (Peec's own positioning), particularly on teams where several people need a login.
Watch-outs: Starter covers three models, and each extra one costs $30 a month. Perplexity isn't one of the picks at all; it's an add-on. So ChatGPT plus both Google surfaces uses up all three slots, and Perplexity goes on top of the $95. Starter is one project, the next tier is $245, and the trial length isn't stated. A Reddit, Quora or Hacker News question scan isn't listed on the entry plan.
What it does well: 50 prompts checked daily on Starter, with unlimited users on every plan. The model list includes Naver, which matters if you sell in Korea and which nobody else here offers. Annual billing takes 15% off, and Enterprise goes up to 13 models.
Pricing: Starter $95 a month, Pro $245, Advanced $495. 15% off annually.
4. Otterly.AI

Best for: solo marketers and small teams who want a low entry price. Otterly positions itself for exactly that buyer.
Watch-outs: Lite includes 15 prompts. Gemini and Google AI Mode are $9 add-ons each and Claude is $29, so the $29 headline grows quickly if you want Google's AI answers beyond AI Overviews. The next plan up is Standard at $189, which makes outgrowing Lite expensive. A Reddit, Quora or Hacker News question scan isn't listed on the entry plan. We read Otterly's pricing page through a fetch summary rather than a full browser, and it didn't state how often prompts are checked, so confirm the check frequency and trial length before you plan around them.
What it does well: Lite is $29 a month ($25 billed annually) for ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, with unlimited seats. If Copilot matters to your buyers, it's included here at the entry price.
Pricing: Lite $29 a month ($25 annual), Standard $189, Premium $489. Add-ons on Lite: AI Mode $9, Gemini $9, Claude $29.
5. Scrunch

Best for: mid-size marketing teams that need several people in the tool and more than 100 prompts from the first day.
Watch-outs: $250 a month is the entry price. Gemini, Google AI Mode, Claude and Grok are enterprise-only, so a team whose buyers mostly search in Google gets AI Overviews and nothing else from Google on Core. There's no API on Core, and one brand per plan. A Reddit, Quora or Hacker News question scan isn't listed on the entry plan.
What it does well: Core gives you 125 prompts and 5 seats across ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot, with a 7-day trial. Enterprise adds Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok, so there's room to grow without switching tools.
Pricing: Core $250 a month, 125 prompts, 1 brand, 5 seats. Enterprise on request.
6. AthenaHQ

Best for: self-guided small and mid-size businesses, which is how AthenaHQ describes its buyer, and anyone who wants to try an AI visibility tracker for free before paying anything.
Watch-outs: the first paid plan is $295 a month, and there is nothing between that and $0. It's priced in credits, and one credit is one AI response. If you ran every prompt on all 11 models once a day, 3,600 credits would cover about 10 prompts. Fewer models stretch it further, but you'll be doing that arithmetic every month, and 300 free credits go quickly for the same reason. API access and extra credits are contact-us. A Reddit, Quora or Hacker News question scan isn't listed on the entry plan.
What it does well: the free Essential plan includes 300 credits across ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot, which is the best free offer on this list. Starter covers 11 models, including Claude, Grok and Google AI Mode, with unlimited team members. Annual billing takes 17% off.
Pricing: Essential free (300 credits). Starter $295 a month (3,600 credits). 17% off annually.
7. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

Best for: teams already paying for Semrush who want AI visibility next to their keyword and ranking data, in the tool the SEO team opens every day anyway.
Watch-outs: the $99 is per domain and billed annually, so the real commitment is a year for each site you track. It includes 25 prompts, and extra users start at $45 a month each. The pricing page says "Google AI" without splitting AI Overviews from AI Mode, so ask which one you're getting. A Reddit, Quora or Hacker News question scan isn't listed on the entry plan.
What it does well: 25 custom prompts checked daily on ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity, inside an interface your team already knows. If you also want the SEO side, the Starter SEO plus AI Search bundle is $199 a month ($165.17 billed annually) with 50 prompts. There's a 7-day trial.
Pricing: $99 a month per domain, billed annually. Bundle with Starter SEO $199 a month ($165.17 annual). Extra users from $45 a month.
8. Ahrefs Brand Radar

Best for: Ahrefs customers who want AI mentions tracked alongside their backlink and content data.
Watch-outs: you need an Ahrefs subscription first, and Lite at $129 a month includes 5 prompts and 150 checks a month. That's enough to look around. Real tracking means custom prompts on top, from $50 a month, then $0.02 for every check over your allowance. Claude costs 8 checks per update. The AI Visibility Index is $199 a month, or $699 a month if you want all models. A Reddit, Quora or Hacker News question scan isn't listed on the entry plan. We'd build a spreadsheet before committing.
What it does well: six engines are listed, AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot, so both Google surfaces are covered. Overage is published per check, which means the bill is predictable once you do the math.
Pricing: Ahrefs Lite $129 a month (5 prompts, 150 checks). Custom prompts start at $50 a month. AI Visibility Index $199 or $699 a month. Overage $0.02 per check.
9. SE Visible (SE Ranking)

Best for: teams that want a lot of prompts on five engines, including both Google surfaces, for under $100 a month.
Watch-outs: no Claude, no Grok, no Copilot. It comes from SE Ranking, so it sits closer to an SEO suite than a standalone tool. A Reddit, Quora or Hacker News question scan isn't listed on the entry plan. Small practical thing: the product lives at visible.seranking.com, and sevisible.com is a different site.
What it does well: Basic gives you 200 prompts, roughly 30,000 answers a month and 3 projects for $99 ($79 billed annually), on ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Perplexity and AI Overviews. The 10-day trial is the longest stated trial on this list. For prompt volume on daily data, it's the strongest value here.
Pricing: Basic $99 a month ($79 annual), 200 prompts, 3 projects.
10. Rankscale

Best for: people who want to pay for what they actually run, and teams that need engines most tools skip, such as DeepSeek and Mistral.
Watch-outs: the $20 Essentials plan includes zero credits, so it buys you access and nothing runs until you top up. Treat Pro at $99 as the real entry price. Pro's 1,200 credits are metered (Rankscale puts them at about 4,800 answers), so you'll be counting credits. API access starts on the Growth plan at $385. A Reddit, Quora or Hacker News question scan isn't listed on the entry plan.
What it does well: the engine list is long: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral, Grok, Copilot and more. Search terms are unlimited, and there's a 7-day free trial of Pro.
Pricing: Essentials $20 a month with no credits (top-ups extra). Pro $99 a month, 1,200 credits. Growth with API $385.
11. LLMrefs

Best for: teams that want wide engine coverage and hundreds of prompts, and can live with weekly data.
Watch-outs: prompts refresh weekly, not daily. In a launch week or during a competitor's campaign, you'll see the change up to a week late. The $79 price is labelled "limited time" on their page, so check it hasn't moved before you budget around it. A Reddit, Quora or Hacker News question scan isn't listed on the plan.
What it does well: one plan, $79 a month, 500 prompts, unlimited users and projects. It ties AthenaHQ's Starter for the widest engine list here: ChatGPT, ChatGPT Search, AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek. There's a 7-day trial and a free account.
Pricing: $79 a month (limited-time price), 500 prompts, weekly refresh.
12. ZipTie

Best for: teams that prefer usage-based billing, and anyone who cares about Microsoft's side of AI search.
Watch-outs: pricing is usage-based, so the bill moves with what you run, and the $42.75 figure is for one Starter preset. Add-ons cost extra on top, and UGC analysis is one of them, at +80%. No Claude or Grok. The trial covers three engines.
What it does well: the engine list covers ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Copilot, Gemini and Bing AI Overview, and it's the only tool here that lists Bing's AI Overview separately. The 7-day trial gives you 25 daily prompts with no card, which makes it easy to try.
Pricing: usage-based; the Starter preset is $42.75 a month.
Which AI visibility tool should you pick?
Solo marketer on a budget
Start free. CueScout's free ChatGPT visibility checker runs a live, search-grounded question with no signup, and AthenaHQ gives you 300 free credits. When you're ready to pay, CueScout's $29 Starter gets you 20 daily prompts, the pages the engines cite, a weekly scan of Reddit, Quora and Hacker News questions, and a To-do list built from both. Otterly.AI's Lite costs the same with 15 prompts and Copilot included, but Gemini and AI Mode are extra. If you need hundreds of prompts and weekly data is enough, LLMrefs has 500 for $79.
In-house marketing team at a B2B or SaaS company
This is who CueScout is built for. An in-house team has to show what it did about the number, and the Sources report, the community questions and the To-dos exist for that. Growth at $189 gets you 100 prompts on five engines including both Google surfaces, the community scan every three days, a 200-page site audit, and Slack and webhook alerts. If you only need measurement at volume and will work out the actions yourself, SE Visible at $99 for 200 prompts is the closest alternative. Peec AI suits teams where several people need logins, as long as three models is enough.
Enterprise
Profound is built for this buyer, and so is its sales process. If you'd rather see a price before the first meeting, AthenaHQ Starter publishes one ($295 a month in credits across 11 models), and Scrunch's $250 Core plan grows into an enterprise plan with Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, AI Mode and Grok.
Already paying for Semrush or Ahrefs
Try the add-on you already have access to before buying something new. Semrush's toolkit is the simpler of the two to price: $99 per domain, billed annually, for 25 daily prompts. Ahrefs Brand Radar covers both Google surfaces but needs Lite plus custom prompts before it's useful. Neither pricing page lists a scan of the questions buyers ask on Reddit, Quora or Hacker News, so if you want that side too, you'll need a dedicated tool.
A few we read but left off to keep this to twelve: Omnia (€79 a month, 25 prompts daily, 14-day trial), MaxAEO ($19 a month for 10 prompts on any 4 of 8 platforms) and Gauge ($599 a month for 600 prompts).
Final verdict
All twelve measure whether AI answers name you. They differ in engine count, prompt volume, check frequency, how clear the price is, and what you get besides a score.
We rank CueScout first because it covers both sides of where AI answers come from. It records the pages ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews cite, it reads the Reddit, Quora and Hacker News threads where buyers ask about your category, and it turns both into To-dos, including a listing ask for every cited list you're missing from. For an in-house team at a B2B or SaaS company, the hard part is usually the Tuesday afternoon where someone decides which page to fix and which site to email, and CueScout hands you that list. Starter is $29 a month with no sales call, and the first check is free.
Every other tool here comes with a catch to price in. Profound won't show a price without a demo, Peec AI stops at three models, Otterly.AI's $29 buys 15 prompts, and Scrunch keeps Gemini and AI Mode for enterprise. AthenaHQ jumps from free to $295 in credits, Semrush bills per domain, annually, and Ahrefs needs a $129 plan before Brand Radar does much. SE Visible has no Claude, Grok or Copilot, Rankscale and ZipTie need usage math, and LLMrefs refreshes weekly. If raw prompt volume is all you're buying, SE Visible and LLMrefs are the cheapest per prompt. If it's an enterprise program with procurement meetings, Profound.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI search visibility tool?
For in-house B2B and SaaS marketing teams, we rank CueScout first (we make it). Starter is $29 a month and checks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews daily, shows the pages the engines cite, scans Reddit, Quora and Hacker News weekly for the questions buyers ask in your category, and turns both into To-dos. For raw prompt volume, SE Visible and LLMrefs. For an enterprise buying process with a sales team, Profound.
How much do AI visibility tools cost?
On 29 September 2026, AthenaHQ had a free plan with 300 credits and Rankscale's Essentials plan started at $20 a month with no credits included. Most self-serve entry plans sat between $29 and $99 a month: CueScout and Otterly.AI at $29, LLMrefs at $79, Peec AI at $95, SE Visible, Rankscale Pro and Semrush (billed annually) at $99. Scrunch starts at $250, AthenaHQ Starter at $295, and Profound publishes no price at all. Ahrefs Brand Radar needs an Ahrefs Lite subscription at $129 a month first.
How can I track my brand mentions in ChatGPT?
You can type your buyers' questions into ChatGPT by hand and note who it names. That works for five questions once. It stops working when you have fifty questions and the answers change from one day to the next. An AI visibility tracker asks the same prompts on a schedule and records whether you were named, in what position, and which pages were cited. All twelve tools in this comparison cover ChatGPT. CueScout also has a free ChatGPT visibility checker that runs one live, search-grounded question with no signup.
How do I track Reddit and Quora mentions for AI search?
CueScout scans public Reddit, Quora and Hacker News threads for the questions buyers ask in your category, using searches built from your keywords and competitors. It runs weekly on Starter and every three days on Growth, and it reports your share of community conversation: of all brand mentions in those threads, yours and your competitors', the share that name you. It only reads public threads and never posts. Of the other eleven tools here, ZipTie sells UGC analysis as a paid add-on (+80%), and none of the other pricing pages we read list a Reddit, Quora or Hacker News question scan on the entry plan.
What are the best Profound alternatives?
Profound sells every paid plan through a demo. If you want a published price, CueScout starts at $29 a month with cited sources, community questions and To-dos. Peec AI starts at $95 a month for 50 daily prompts on 3 models, Scrunch at $250 for 125 prompts and five seats, and AthenaHQ at $295 in credits across 11 models.
Which AI visibility tools track Google AI Overviews and AI Mode?
Almost every tool here tracks AI Overviews. AI Mode is patchier on entry plans. SE Visible, LLMrefs and AthenaHQ's paid Starter include it, Peec AI lets you pick it as one of your three models, Otterly.AI sells it as a $9 add-on, and Ahrefs Brand Radar lists it. CueScout checks AI Overviews on Starter and adds AI Mode on Growth. Scrunch keeps AI Mode for enterprise.
Are GEO tools and AEO tools the same thing as AI visibility trackers?
Mostly, yes. Generative engine optimization (GEO) and answer engine optimization (AEO) are names for the work of getting named and cited in AI answers, and an AI visibility tracker or LLM visibility tracker is the software that measures whether that work is paying off. The real split is between tools that stop at measurement and tools that also tell you what to change.
