Alternatives

An LLMrefs alternative for teams that want daily answers

LLMrefs sells one plan, All in One, at $79/mo and marked “limited time only”: 500 prompts, every AI engine it covers at no extra cost, unlimited projects and team members, CSV export and an API. Its FAQ says every keyword is updated in the dashboard “at least once per week.” CueScout Starter is $49/mo for 20 prompts and Growth $189/mo for 100, every one asked daily. We read LLMrefs’ pricing on 13 October 2026.

The two tools count different things. LLMrefs asks you for keywords and writes the prompts itself (“you track keywords, not prompts”), generating fan-out prompts from real conversations and rolling the answers up into share of voice and position per keyword. CueScout asks you for the questions, and each one is put to the engines as written, every day, with the full answer stored.

On volume per dollar, LLMrefs wins by a long way. What CueScout offers instead is cadence and a next step: a daily read on each question, the pages each answer cited sorted by what you can do about them, and a To-do list built from that evidence.

Verdict

Who LLMrefs suits, and who it doesn’t

LLMrefs suits an SEO who thinks in keywords and wants a wide, cheap read: hundreds of prompts, every major engine, many countries, exported to CSV or pulled through the API. For a monthly report on a broad category, a weekly refresh is plenty and the price is hard to argue with.

It suits a team less well when the questions are few and specific and the point is to act this week. If a roundup is updated on a Tuesday, a weekly refresh can show it days later, and a keyword-level score averages your most important question in with its fan-out cousins.

Buy LLMrefs if

  • You want hundreds of prompts for under $100 a month
  • Weekly data matches how often you report
  • You need Copilot, Meta AI or DeepSeek, or several countries
  • CSV and API access matter on the base plan

Look elsewhere if

  • You want to see a change the day it happens
  • You report on a short list of high-stakes questions, not a category
  • You want each cited page turned into a task with the evidence attached

Where CueScout is the wrong choice

  • LLMrefs tracks 500 prompts for $79/mo. CueScout Growth tracks 100 for $189. If volume is what you are buying, LLMrefs is the better deal and it isn’t close.
  • Every engine LLMrefs covers is in its one price. On CueScout, Claude and Grok cost extra, and Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek are not checked at all.
  • If you need answers from many countries at once, LLMrefs fits better: its plan lists geo-targeting in 50+ countries and 20+ languages, while CueScout checks each brand from a single country.
  • LLMrefs gives unlimited projects on one subscription. CueScout tops out at 10 brands on Growth.

What a daily check is for

A weekly refresh is fine for a trend line and slow for a decision. When a roundup is updated or a competitor publishes a comparison page, answers that lean on it can change within the day. With daily answer tracking you see which question moved, and on which engine, before the weekly report is due. The price of that is volume: asking every prompt every day is why CueScout’s plans hold fewer of them.

Sources, then the next step

Both tools collect the URLs the engines cite. What CueScout adds to each one is a decision. Citation tracking records which engines cited the page, for which of your questions, where it ranks in Google for that question, and whether you are on it, then labels it with a verdict such as “get listed” or “earn it”. The pages you can win become To-dos, each carrying the answer and the citation it came from.
