For SEO & AEO teams

The LLM SEO tool that shows which pages the answers are built from

LLM SEO is getting your pages cited when ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI answer a question. CueScout is the LLM SEO tool for SEO and AEO teams: every URL the engines cite for your queries, its Google rank for the same question, the domains that decide your category, and a GEO audit of what blocks AI crawlers.

Why SEO teams need an LLM SEO tool

Ranking is not the whole list

In one account, 58 of 96 cited pages had no position in Google’s top 100 for the same question. A rank tracker never shows you those.

The crawlers are different

GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended each read robots.txt their own way. The one people block is often not the one they meant.

AI Overviews sit above your rank

A first-page position means less when an AI Overview answers the question first and cites someone else.

What SEO and AEO teams get from CueScout

Rank overlap

Google rank next to every AI citation

Each cited page carries its Google position for the question it was cited for. See how AI citations compare with Google rankings.

One cited page opened: You are in it, page type, Google rank #14 for the same question, brands named

GEO audit

What stops the engines reading you

Crawler access, llms.txt, schema, server rendering and answer-first pages, each verdict with the evidence we fetched.

One failing check opened: Organization schema with sameAs links, the fix, and what the audit found

AI Overviews

How it works

Included on every plan. AI Overviews are on Starter; AI Mode and Gemini come with Growth.

Compare plans
  1. Bring your queries

Turn the commercial keywords you already rank for into the questions a buyer would ask an assistant.

  2. Collect the citations

Every URL each engine cites is stored per question and engine, then read for whether your brand is on it.

  3. Check rank and readiness

Each cited page gets its Google position, and the GEO audit checks what blocks the AI crawlers from your site.

  4. Fix and recheck

Audit fixes and missing pages become To-dos. Supported audit checks can be run again on the same page after you ship.

What it doesn’t do

  • It is not a full SEO crawl. Title lengths, alt text and page speed stay with your SEO suite.
  • Rank comes from one search provider and locale. Personalised results will differ.
  • A page being cited does not tell you which sentence earned it.

Questions

What is LLM SEO?

Optimising your site and your off-site presence so large language models like ChatGPT and Gemini cite your pages when they answer questions in your category.

Is LLM SEO different from AEO and GEO?

The names overlap. LLM SEO, answer engine optimization and generative engine optimization all aim at the same thing: being named and cited in AI answers.

Do I need to rank first in Google to get cited?

No. SE Ranking found 36% of AI Overview citations in the Google top 10 in December 2025, and in one of our accounts 58 of 96 cited pages had no top-100 position.

Should I block AI crawlers?

Training crawlers and answer-engine crawlers are different agents. Blocking GPTBot does not remove you from ChatGPT answers; blocking the retrieval agents does.
