A Rankability alternative for the AI-answer half only

Rankability Starter is $97/mo ($970 a year) for 100 tracked AI queries checked daily on 11 platforms, 50 Google keywords updated weekly, 20 content projects a month and unlimited client workspaces. CueScout Starter is $49/mo for 20 prompts on three surfaces, and Growth is $189/mo for 100 on five. We read Rankability’s pricing page on 13 October 2026.

The page is titled “Pricing for agencies”, and every plan is shaped around client delivery: a workspace per client, keyword approvals, reports with your logo and colors, Local Pack scans, backlink research, and API and MCP access. The 11 AI platforms are ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Brave AI, DeepSeek and Meta AI, the same list on every tier.

CueScout is deliberately narrower, and built for an in-house marketing team rather than an agency. It asks the engines your buyers’ questions every day, keeps the pages each answer cited, and turns what it finds into work. It does not track a list of Google keywords, produce content or run local scans. The Google data it does have is the rank of each page an AI answer cited, plus Search Console if you connect it.

Verdict

Who Rankability suits, and who it doesn’t

Rankability suits an agency that sells AI search as part of an SEO retainer and wants research, writing, rank tracking, audits and the client report under one login. The AI tracking is no expensive extra either: 100 daily queries on 11 platforms come with the cheapest plan.

An in-house team with one product gets less from it. A good share of what the plans pay for is client plumbing (approvals, branded reports, a lead generator for prospect reports) and capacity for content you may already produce elsewhere. Its tracker page says citations “show the pages it uses as sources” and lists sentiment and competitor comparisons; it does not describe what to do about a given cited page, which is the part CueScout spends its effort on.

Buy Rankability if

  • You run an agency and AI visibility is one line in an SEO retainer
  • You need Copilot, DeepSeek, Brave AI or Meta AI tracked
  • Weekly Google keyword rankings and local scans belong in the same tool
  • Clients expect reports with your logo on them

Look elsewhere if

  • You are an in-house team with one product and no clients
  • You already pay for an SEO suite and only need the AI-answer half
  • You want each cited page sorted into what you can do about it

Where CueScout is the wrong choice

  • For an agency, CueScout is the wrong choice. It covers up to 10 brands, every report carries the CueScout name, and it has none of the keyword tracking, content production or local SEO an agency retainer usually bundles.
  • Rankability checks 11 AI platforms on its cheapest plan. CueScout checks three on Starter and five on Growth, and does not cover Copilot, DeepSeek, Brave AI or Meta AI at all.
  • Per tracked question, Rankability costs less: 100 daily queries for $97, against 100 for $189 on CueScout Growth, and the SEO tools come on top.

Why CueScout stays narrow

Time spent on a content editor or a keyword tracker is time not spent on the pages AI answers cite, which is where we think the open problem is. Citation tracking stores every URL each engine cited for your questions, sorts it by what you can do (improve your own page, answer the question on your site, get onto a roundup, or leave it) and looks up where it ranks in Google for that same question. In one account in August 2026, 58 of 96 cited pages had no Google top-100 position. A keyword rank tracker and an AI tracker can disagree that much.

Where the two overlap

Daily AI visibility tracking is the shared ground: both ask the engines a fixed set of questions and record who was named, cited and how. After that the paths split. Rankability turns findings into content projects and client reports. CueScout turns them into To-dos carrying the answer, the cited page and the date, for your own team to work through.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Rankability cost?

Starter $97, Agency $297 and Agency Pro $497 a month. Yearly is $970, $2,970 and $4,970, which the page describes as ten monthly payments. Enterprise is scoped on a sales call. Read from rankability.com/pricing on 13 October 2026.

Which AI platforms does Rankability track?

The pricing page lists 11 on every paid plan: ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Brave AI, DeepSeek and Meta AI. Its tracker page says available platforms “depend on your plan and add-ons”, so confirm before you buy.

Does Rankability have a free trial?

The pricing page does not mention one. Standard plans are self-serve, and a new monthly plan can be cancelled in Billing with access to the end of the paid period.

Is Rankability only for agencies?

It is sold to them. The plans are Starter, Agency and Agency Pro, and the page is titled “Pricing for agencies”. An in-house team can buy it, but would be paying for client workspaces, approvals and branded reports it may not use.

How often does Rankability update Google rankings?

Weekly, up to the top 30 results, with 250, 750 or 1,250 checks a month depending on the plan. AI queries are checked daily.
